Library Services during Pandemic

new CONTACT-FREE CURBSIDE PICKUP summer.

The library building will be open regular hours.

It really can't be said enough—your health, and the health of our employees—are our priority. And, every decision we make is through that lens as we apply state guidelines.

We require patrons and staff to wear masks while in the building. We recognize that not all of our patrons are able to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Therefore, for the safety of our unvaccinated or immunocompromised patrons and children, masks are required for all.

Patrons over 2 years of age who are unable or unwilling to comply with our safety measures will not be able to enter the building, however, they are welcome to use our curbside pickup services.

Continue to use Curbside Pickup service if you prefer.

Curbside Pickup service is available Monday - Friday, 10 am - 12 pm.

You don't need to schedule Curbside Pickup pickup!  Just call us (201-384-1020) when you arrive.

Coming to visit? Here's what you need to know!

We ask all library patrons to:

  • Stay Home if You are Sick. If you or anyone in your household is sick or has symptoms, do not enter the library.

  • Wear a Mask. Wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose is required to protect library staff and other patrons. If you don't have a mask, we'll give you one to keep.

  • Wash Your Hands. Frequent handwashing is your first line of defense against infection.

  • Limit Your Stay. You can stay up to 1 hour per visit. Toys and many furnishings are not available to facilitate a clean and sanitary environment.

  • Follow Social Distancing. Keep 6 feet from library staff and other patrons. Follow staff guidance, posted signs, and floor markings to ensure adequate spacing.

  • Seating is available.

  • Bathrooms: Public bathrooms are available.

  • Meeting Room: Call the Library (201-384-1020) or email the director (hyun@haworth.bccls.org) to reserve a meeting room.

  • Family Groups: Family members should stay together at all times. Parents with children ensure they maintain social distance with others that are not their parents.

  • Groups of Youth: Youth will not be allowed in the library simply to hang out with each other. Children age 10 or younger must be accompanied by an adult.

  • All other patron rules remain in effect.
